Overview

Running a business is hard enough without worrying about taxes. At Taxperts, our credentialed CPAs and EAs handle your business tax preparation from start to finish — so you can focus on what you do best.

We work with S-corps, C-corps, LLCs, partnerships, and sole proprietorships across every industry. Whether you're filing your first business return or managing multi-state compliance, your dedicated CPA or EA knows your situation and signs your filings.

Our business tax services include federal and state income tax preparation, quarterly estimated tax filings, entity-specific deduction optimization, depreciation and asset management, and year-end tax planning. We also coordinate with your bookkeeping and payroll to ensure every number is accurate before filing.

Every engagement starts with a free consultation where we review your business structure, identify missed deductions, and recommend a tax strategy tailored to your goals.

Business Tax

questions.

Answers from our licensed CPAs & EAs.

Should my LLC be taxed as an S-corp?

For many profitable LLCs, an S-corp election reduces self-employment tax significantly. If your net business income exceeds ~$50K annually, the math often works in your favor. We model both structures and recommend the optimal choice — and file the election if it makes sense.

What is the pass-through entity tax (PTET) and should I elect it?

PTET allows S-corps and partnerships to pay state income tax at the entity level, creating a federal deduction that sidesteps the individual SALT cap. In high-tax states (NY, CA, IL), this can save owners thousands annually. We evaluate PTET eligibility for our business clients and elect it where it benefits you.

How do you handle multi-state business taxes?

If your business has employees, property, or significant revenue in multiple states, you likely have nexus and filing obligations in those states. We analyze your footprint, determine nexus thresholds, and file all required state returns — including apportionment calculations.

What records do I need for my business tax return?

Core documents: prior-year return, P&L statement, balance sheet, bank statements, payroll records, asset purchases, loan documents, and 1099s issued/received. If you use bookkeeping software (QuickBooks, Xero), we can pull directly from it. We'll send you a complete checklist after your consultation.

Can you help with an IRS audit of my business?

Yes. Our Enrolled Agents are authorized to represent your business before the IRS at all levels — correspondence audits, office audits, and field audits. We handle the communications and advocate for the best outcome available on your facts.
